Welcome to the Web Site of RAFSTA!

RAFSTA is a Science Fiction club that was formerly for the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom. Originally founded in 1992 as a Star Trek club within the RAF, it grew to encompass Science Fiction fans from all three of the services, and their respective reserves. Evolving once more to reflect diversity, RAFSTA began to accept fans of ALL types of science fiction. Today, we appreciate all sci-fi and would love to meet other like minded people.

The Association produces a quarterly magazine (StarChart), featuring Articles and stories written by members. In addition the club has an active social side, with an annual get-together/AGM weekend, and other social gatherings during the year. 

Membership is open to everyone (subject to stringent vetting procedure) who has a passing interest in all forms of Science fiction.

At last, unveiled here for your delectation and delight is the brand new and exciting logo for the 2012 RAFSTA AGM!!!

Designed specially for us by our resident smarty pants and will be available for printing onto pretty much anything you want it printing on! Let me, the webmaster, know what format you want it in and I will endeavor to provide it to you. (The mugs mentioned in the forum would look great with this logo along side your rank and position!)
